The Swan View Railway Tunnel was designed by CY O’Connor in 1894, completed in 1895, and used until 1945 when a bypass was constructed. The walk trail gives some magnificent views back to the Perth coastal plain. For the energetic you can walk all the way to Parkerville Tavern. On the way you will pass by National Park and Hovea Falls that are both stunning when there is water running. Between the two falls is a remnant railway bridge that at the right time of year is great for astrophotography.
