Early in 2024 Shutterups was approached by GLBTI Rights in Ageing (GRAI) to provide our photography skills to contribute to a project entitled Our Voices Have Changed the World. The project resulted in a book that presents reflections from older LGBTI people, sharing stories of their resilience as recounted to younger people in their community.
The portraits were captured by a small team of Shutterpups members using a temporary studio established at the offices of Pride WA, and during in-home visits by Peter King (President of Shutterpups) and Pete Blake. “Tony”, also a Shutterpups member, was photographed by his husband Duncan Surin (Secretary of Shutterpups).
